I went to Austin, Texas this last weekend with my friend Cindy for one of her friends wedding! I could not refuse because after all ...wedding cake is one of my favorite things in the whole world!!! HA! (As you will see in the picture attached!) We left on Friday to return on Sunday. I have to say this was one of the most beautiful, enjoyable weddings I have attended. Beautiful couple, Adam and Emily, beautiful friends and family as well. Cindy had wanted to eat at a place called "Hula Hut", long story short we went there Friday night and that is where the rehearsal dinner happened to be! So they welcomed us, put lei's around our necks, gave us hand fans, and in we walked!!! Can you say "Wedding Crasher's?" That was us!!! They made us feel welcomed and we were able to enjoy that time as well. The couple had plans of going to Hawaii for their honeymoon so how appropriate to have the dinner at THE HULA HUT! They made the wedding party get up and hula dance and then brought up the parents!!! What entertainment!!!! We laughed and had fun! The wedding was at a beautiful Church in Round Rock and the rehearsal was at Texas Exes UT, Austin. During the ceremony the minister told of Adam and Emily's relationship and how they were both very shy people. Adam took Emily to Chili's on their first date, where a lot of the football players Adam played with happened to be as well, and when the server brought the ticket Adam was so nervous he signed his name and he added #74 beside it! This made everyone laugh!!! At the wedding reception, the couple had their pictures displayed, one particularly caught my eye...a picture of Adam holding a sign "She said Yes!" Too Cute!!! (Also attached) We all lined the walkway and held sparklers for the couples departure which was absolutely beautiful! It is so nice to experience such happy moments in life! I think we all take them for granted most of the time. I DO.
Thanks Cindy for inviting me to such a wonderful event in life! Gotta luv Austin!!!
And on another note...I always try to stop in Salado where my brother and sister-in-law live. We were able to stop and visit with Wayne and Doni, and as usual...had a wonderful visit with both of them! Great to see them!!! ;0)
