CHECK IT OUT
Let's see...where do I begin...this last month has taken me down a few new paths! I decided to open a space in an antique mall, the next day I was called on a job with a school district to substiute in the office, needless to say life is a whirl wind at times. So off I was, shopping for my new booth and working again!!! Not to complain, but I am out of practice and had to get back into the swing of things somewhat! But I am loving it and hope to have my blog up and running with my new space in the antique mall soon!!!
I have a little preview picture, so if U r looking for something to do this weekend or the near future, look no further, check out Lone Star Antiques, and SimpliciTeas Tea Room!!! (Yummy, Delicioso!) Located at 5605 N. Denton Hwy.(377), Fort Worth, TX 76148 (817) 503.0441. You will adore the great variety of items and vintage finds along with a boutique to boot!!! Approximately 150 booths! Check out my booth at #1959 located in the middle of the Antique Mall! There is a 12 yr. anniversary sale this weekend, with a variety of sales, layaway available! Open daily 7 days a week, Mon - Sat 10 am to 6 pm and Sun 12 pm to 6 pm!
I have plans to name my booth "The Vintage Vine" in the near future, so stay tuned for my post! It is still a work in progress and I have to say, I am not quite to the level of showing it off yet, but here is a little sneak preview! ;0) Watch me grow and learn, and one day look back and say ... Look how I started all this!!! hehehe!!!!

I ran across this vintage store in a blog one day, called Clover Leaf, located in Ardmore, Oklahoma, exit 31B off 35W north. The pink bicycles out front are what caught my eye at first and then as I looked on I realized this was not just your average store! Everything PINK, every girls dream! So...my friend Ann and I ventured to Oklahoma to check out this unique shopping experience! As you will see from the pictures below there is an array of items from clothing/shoes to collectibles and more! We looked and laughed and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! So ladies, if you want a fun girl trip, drive to Ardmore and check out Clover Leaf!!! It has been there for approximately 10 years and as you will see is more than anyone could expect! It has been featured in Country Living Magazine! The wall by the front door boast of a saying that I fell in love with..."Pink is not just a color, it's and attitude" Yea for PINK!!!

Austin Trip!!!
I went to Austin, Texas this last weekend with my friend Cindy for one of her friends wedding! I could not refuse because after all ...wedding cake is one of my favorite things in the whole world!!! HA! (As you will see in the picture attached!) We left on Friday to return on Sunday. I have to say this was one of the most beautiful, enjoyable weddings I have attended. Beautiful couple, Adam and Emily, beautiful friends and family as well. Cindy had wanted to eat at a place called "Hula Hut", long story short we went there Friday night and that is where the rehearsal dinner happened to be! So they welcomed us, put lei's around our necks, gave us hand fans, and in we walked!!! Can you say "Wedding Crasher's?" That was us!!! They made us feel welcomed and we were able to enjoy that time as well. The couple had plans of going to Hawaii for their honeymoon so how appropriate to have the dinner at THE HULA HUT! They made the wedding party get up and hula dance and then brought up the parents!!! What entertainment!!!! We laughed and had fun! The wedding was at a beautiful Church in Round Rock and the rehearsal was at Texas Exes UT, Austin. During the ceremony the minister told of Adam and Emily's relationship and how they were both very shy people. Adam took Emily to Chili's on their first date, where a lot of the football players Adam played with happened to be as well, and when the server brought the ticket Adam was so nervous he signed his name and he added #74 beside it! This made everyone laugh!!! At the wedding reception, the couple had their pictures displayed, one particularly caught my eye...a picture of Adam holding a sign "She said Yes!" Too Cute!!! (Also attached) We all lined the walkway and held sparklers for the couples departure which was absolutely beautiful! It is so nice to experience such happy moments in life! I think we all take them for granted most of the time. I DO.
Thanks Cindy for inviting me to such a wonderful event in life! Gotta luv Austin!!!
And on another note...I always try to stop in Salado where my brother and sister-in-law live. We were able to stop and visit with Wayne and Doni, and as usual...had a wonderful visit with both of them! Great to see them!!! ;0)

Brenda ~ May 2010
May 2010... where is the time going? It's true what they say: The older you get the faster time flies! With that said, I am getting old and time is flying by it seems!!! I love this time of year...not having to wear a COAT!!!!! Soon...only 6 months to Christmas! It's my favorite time of year and crazy as it may be...I usually start listening to Christmas music about June or July! HA! I always have, guess I always will! ;0) So silly!

I have a LAKE!!!
~Road Trip...East Texas~
~Recently I took a road trip with friends to east Texas, before we left Dallas we toured Swiss Avenue. Due to my love for old houses I was in awe! Took way too many pics but wanted to share a few!
~On to Ann's lakehouse on Lake Cypress Springs, we ventured to Tyler to see the amazing Azaela Trails ( a path along streets of older homes that have amazing azaela's and yards to walk through ...) of which we were amazed!
~We came upon a house that opened their amazing backyard for you to walk through and met the owner, who was retired from ~of all places~Dallas and had spent 15 years getting his yard to look like this! It had so many features, from a bridge you crossed over to fountains, purgola's, grapes growing, ferns growing out of the side of the driveway wall...incredible display!
~This is a tropical snowball tree!
~I also, got a pic of a tree that was so large it had taken over the curb!
Awesome Trip!
